Program Outline
Infield Defensive Training: a focused, high-energy session for ages 11+ geared toward the specific techniques that make a difference on the softball field.
Welcome to our TPM Infield Class — a fast-paced, high-rep training environment built to sharpen infielders through maximum touches, maximum tempo, and repeatable reps. Short instruction bursts to nonstop, high-quality reps.
This clinic is designed for athletes who want to get better now!. Sessions start with short instruction bursts followed by nonstop, high-quality reps. Players will stay moving, rotate quickly, and get more defensive touches in 60 minutes than they typically get in an entire tournament!
Infield Defensive Training Schedule
5:30–6:30 PM — Ages 11+
Training Focus (Rep-Heavy)
Athletes will cycle through rapid-fire drills or stations emphasizing volume, speed, and repeatability. A few of the focus areas include:
Double-Play Work: Quick feeds, explosive pivots, and high-rep timing sequences.
Slaps & Bunts: Speed of the running to fast reads and reaction from every infield position.
Advanced Footwork: Angle work, first-step speed, attack routes, and bag coverage under pressure.
Throwing Mechanics for Fast Release: Short, focused mechanical cues → arm slots and fast transitions.
Group Structure
To maximize reps and keep athletes constantly engaged, players will be divided into small groups (by skill level if needed) and rotated through stations with minimal downtime.
This clinic is built for tempo, touches, and total reps — perfect for athletes who want to accelerate their infield development in a short session.
