Mooney is a dedicated and accomplished pitching instructor with a rich background in collegiate athletics and a passion for developing young talent in the sport of softball. She holds a Master of Science in Sports Administration and currently serves as an Assistant Softball Coach at Georgia State University for the 2024-2025 season. As a former standout athlete at the University of North Georgia (UNG), Mooney made a significant impact on the field, earning numerous accolades during her playing career.

A 2001 graduate in Journalism/Sociology from Sam Houston State University, Ashlye's expertise and passion fuel her contributions to the sport.
