ACADEMIC & ATHLETIC ACHIEVEMENTS:
TPM Fastpitch Academy Alumni and current Emory University Assistant Coach, Katie Griffith, will be joining us on staff starting this September. Griffith, a standout pitcher at UGA, helped to lead the Bulldogs to three NCAA tournaments and one Super Regional appearance. At her time of graduation, she ranked among the top pitchers in program history in strikeouts, shutouts, wins, complete games, innings pitched, earned run average and opponent batting average. As a freshman, Griffith became the bevond player in SEC history to throw multiple perfect games in a single season. She spent five season as the head coach for Webster University and during that time was a two-time Coach of the Year recipient. Most recently, Griffith served as the pitching coach at Southern Illinois University. She helped to guide SIU to one of its best seasons to date, going 44-11 overall, advancing to NCAA Regionals and had the fifth best staff ERA in Division I softball at 1.82.
